I've been conflicted the last couple of days how to use the blog when writing my pre-master thesis paper. To this day, it's been a compilation of abstracts from articles, new ideas, summaries from conversations I've had and the like. I'm following quite a few people on Google Reader and find this useful. The thing is I don't read half of the posts committed by the bloggers I read. The blogs are too diversified and some lack a general structure. I would expect a 300 word post, but would find a variation between 50 and 500. I find this annoying (more annoying for longer texts) and will attempt to focus this blog and improve the structure.
I've figured out that summaries can be submitted in end-note. The articles and books we use will form the theoretical framework for the paper, while the rest will put this framework in a new context. This context part, the sphere of social media, is what suits this blog. There will be links to academic in these posts, but not solely.
In the blog, I will strive to use the blog to share ideas about the effect of social media on starting up businesses. I hope you'll comment on some of the posts. After all, blogging can be more than a channel to be heard in, it can be a arena for dialog. As a closing note, I would like to recommend this article about how to succeed with your blog, it's not entirely new, but it's GREAT:
